WHANGAREI, Tuesday.

Appreciation of the services of the member for Marsden, Mr. J. G. Barclay, in the interest of the Whangarei Public Hospital during his past five years' membership of the Hospital Board was expressed at a complimentary luncheon tendered him by members of the board yesterday. Mr. Barclay does not seek re-election to the board.
