POWER EXTENSION.
THAMES COAST ROAD PLAN.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. The Thames Chamber of Commerce council decided to-day to make up any deficiencies between the total amount of the guarantee by consumers and the amount required for the reticulation of the Thames Coast road with electricity. This move has now finalised the question of the guarantee required before the Thames Valley Electric Power Board will undertake to extend power as far as Tapu.
It was decided to make representations to the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, in connection with Pipiroa bridge when he is at Jfgatea on Friday.
