SALE OF BONDS.
THEFT ALLEGATIONS.
SUPREME COURT HEARING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The criminal session of the Supreme Court began this morning before Mr. Justice Kennedy. The grand jury found true bills in all four trial cases. The first case being heard is against Leonard Chalmers Young, who faces six charges of theft arising from the sale of bonds of the Metropolitan Theatre Company, the property of Eva Weddell and Lumsden Kent Ball. Accused pleaded not guilty. The Crown. Prosecutor produced a statement of bank withdrawals in the name of the Metropolitan Theatre Company, of 15 cheques dealing with money belonging to Mrs. Weddell and Mr. Ball, claiming that accused was acting for a company which handled their debentures, and so had committed theft.
