The careful coaching ami training had well prepared the boys, nnd they thoroughly revelled in their work. The Secondary Schools' Association is greatly indebted to Captain H. H. The annual handicap single sculls event for the Bigelow-Farrell Cup and miniature resulted : — First Heat. — J. H. Barton (scr) beat G. S. Bigelow (10s), by a length and a half. Second Heat.— J. K. Kylands (Ss) beat K. Carder (UOs). by one length. Third Heat. —T. Chester (3s) beat R. C. Bigelow (lOs), by a length. Semi-finals. — J. H. Barton beat R. Fennell ('Jos>. by half a length; T. The Jubilee Club's season was brought to a conclusion on Saturday with a series of championship events rowed over the course alongside th#eastern tide deflector. Tire Aggregate Cup. presented by Sir Ernest Davis, was won by A. I-awson and Harere. The- pair oar championship was won by I.awson and J. Shortt, while W. Wilson's crew won the four-oar cup. The starting was by mutual consent and Mr. A. C. Norden was judge. Sir Ernest Davis Aggregate Cup.—A. Tjiwson and C. Harere beat IS. Ciherardi and F. E. Robinson by three-quarters of a length.
