The monthly dance and social was held | ; on Wednesday evening in the Herman ! ; Club room?, where a large mimitT of j ; members of the Self-Help Social Club I attended. Mr. A. F. H.» Sutherland. I director for Xew Zealand. Mr. Eric Clere. i manager and inspector for the Waikato I district, and Mr. \Y. Cavan. manager for | the Auckland district, were present. An exceptionally interesting proI gramme was arranged, old-time and | modern dances being interspersed | with items. Songs were given bv "Ann.'' j ; Mr. Perc. Evans and Mr. Sid. Snook. ! | Humorous recitations and a tap dance ; were given bv Miss K. Boyle. i j Among those present were: Mesdames B. Allaway. Philip J. Bruce. Evans. Xeely. X. McGregor. Sid. Snook. X. Knox. I). J. Pollock and A. G. Clark. Misses F.. Green, E. Henderson. I. Hart. X. ! McKenzie, X. Moore, A. Craig and E. Bowden.
