During the past three weeks tlio inaugural meetings of 15 sub-committees associated with the metropolitan executive of the Auckland Provincial Centennial Committee have been held To-day the Early Settlers and Descend-' ants Committee met, Mr. J. B. John stone being elected chairman. With the completion of the election of the various chairmen, the metro politan executive has been brought to its full constitutional strength and will meet towards the end of the month to deal with a number of important matters touching the celebrations.
