POLLING IN EGYPT.
Government's Overwhelming Majority. FURTHER FATAL CLASHES. (Received 1.30 p.m.) CAIRO, April 3. Families of opposing election candidates at Minia clashed and exchanged shots, which resulted in six deaths. Rioting led to three deaths elsewhere. The Lower Egypt election is completed except for IS seats, where reelection is essential owing to technicalities. The Government Coalition has an overwhelming majority, consisting of the Government party with 96 seats and Saadists with 70. The Opposition consists of Independents with 59 seats and Wafdists with The defeated candidates include the former Prime Minister, Nahas Pasha, and Ebeid Pasha, ex-Kinance Minister. Both were refused Senatorships.
