WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. Th« Government Meteorologist i»*ued to the " Auckland SUr •' this afternoon the following special weathar forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Moderate to strong south*«ast to easterly winde, later backing in places to north-easterly. Weather cloudy to overcast and in places misty, with scattered rain. Temperatures warm. Seas rough on the east coast, moderate on the west coast. A rather intense anti-cyclone is now centred north of Chatham Island. A shallow depression lies between East Cape and the Kermadec Islands. Pressure is very low over south-eastern Australia, while a cyclone remains located off the central east coast. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for moderate to strong south-east to east winds, backing in places later to north-east. Weather cloudy to overcast and in places misty scattered rain probable, and weather warm. The barometer has a falling tendency. Seas rough. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, east, fresh; sea. rough; weather, cloudy, with light misty rain; visibility, modarau; barometer, falling slowly.
