Owing to a north-west wind 'Varsity trials w.ere held on tUe-lloHson Bay inner course. The crews of Henderson and Monckton met in the tin.i 1 and contested a very even race. Monckton forged ahead at the start and Hender-Oii clialki.-'d repeatedly. The distnnc" l between ihe crews was never more than a length, but Monckton maintained liis advantage to finish a close race as winner by half a length.
