ELLERSLIE HORSES.
VALMINT PLEASES. KXLONSA GOES WELL. Track work at Ellerslie this morning was tallied out on the No. 3 grass and the tan tracks, most of the work taking place on the latter. Both provided excellent going, and some useful efforts were recorded, the best being those of Jviloiisa, Glen Abb and Valniint. No. 3 Grass. Kilonsa (McCurdy ) impressed more than Land Girl (.McTavishj over six lurlungs. They ran the first three furlongs in and the full distance in 1.17 1-j. Both finished up their work in good st\ Ic. .Master Appellant (.Stokes,) and Avail (.Kerr) came home from the five furlongs post in 1.3 4-3, both hitting out freely. Bronze Wing (Metcalf) ran the last five furlongs of Jiis work in 1.4 4-3. This hack is bearing an improved appearance. First Gold Money (Gilchrist) reeled off half a mile in 525, doing her work well. Over a similar distance the Komney— Thurnley gelding took 30s. He went very evenly, and it was a pleasing effort. Glen Abb- (Coon) was holding Love Parade (Green) at the conclusion of half a mile, run in 31s. Glen Abb looks in great fettle for coming engagements. On the Tan. Ringshot (Green) finished tip a useful task by running hie last three furlongs in 39 2-3>s. Bonnybelle (Clarke) did useful work, finishing up by running her last three furlongs in 43 2-ss. She was going very easily. Mundane (Tremain) got to the end of half a mile in 34 l-3s. All Irish (Tremain) worked steadily over a round, pace over the last half-mile, which occupied 33 2-ss. He is standing up to his work in a satisfactory manner. Hunting Star (Dornan) was timed to run the last half-mile of hU work in 345. Mai de Mer (Tucker), High Star i.MiTavish) and Summary traversed a round, running the last six furlongs in 1.27 4-3. and the final three in 41 2-3s. Knight of Australia (Clarke) was allotted a round, but was not doing better than 13s to tlie furlong. The best effort over half a mile was that of Valniint (Yaughan), who ran the distance in 31 2-3s. Neil (Stokes) gave a good display over the big fences on the flat.
