The provincial statement presented at the annual meeting of the Clevedon branch of the Franklin Returned Soldiers' Association on Saturday evening revealed that the club was in a st rong position. The president. Mr. (.'eorge Walsh, presided over a good attendance of members.
A proposal by Dr. H. H. Cheesman to increase the number of invitations to the public at reunions from four to ten was carried.
It was reported that the Poppy Day collection reached the record sum 'of £20 5/2, and a profit of £22 was made on the annual ball.
Arrangements were made lo hold the Anzac Day parade along the main street to the Soldiers' .Memorial.
The following officers were elected: President. Mr. (icorge Walsh; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. Alexander; com mittee. Messrs. B. Wells, ti. McDonald ■F. Mcpherson. N. Dickie, B. Waters. L. H Browne, C. Grovenor and (i. Munro.
