WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light to moderate southerly to south-easterly winds prevailing. A few scattered showers are likely, but ; the weather will be mainly fair to fine and rather cooler. Seas smooth to moderate. Yesterday's shallow westerly disturbance has now passed away eastward and an anti-cyclone of considerable intensity has moved on to the South Island. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The incications are for moderate southerly or south-easterly winds prevailing. Some scattered showers, but* mainly there is a prospect of fair and cool weather, and improving. Barometer rising. Seas smooth to moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, north, light; sea, smooth; weather, cloudy, but fine; visibility, fair; barometer, steady.
