AMUSEMENTS.
ROXY-TIVOLI. Against a background of pearl diving and whaling, and presenting John Wayne in a role well-suited to his robust talents, '■Adventure's End"' promises outstanding entertainment when it has its initial Auckland screenings at the Roxy and Tivoli Theatres to-morrow. In the main feminine role is beautiful Diana Gibson, and others in the supporting cast are Montague Love, Moroni Oleen, Paul White and Maurice Black. Wayne has been seen in many types of roles in the past—as a footballer, a hockey player, a newsreel cameraman and a transcontinental truck di-iver. but it is stated that he has his beet role to date in this action melodrama. Montague Love is said to give a fine characterisation as an old skipper. Associate feature at both theatres will be "Everybody's Doing It," a gay romantic comedy. Leadiiig characters, Sally Eilers and Preston Foster, play the roles of advertising managers engaged in running a puzzle competition. Through the comedy runs a vein of tense drama, culminating when Foster is kidnapped by gangsters. In the cast is Guinn Williams.
