NOISE AT MEETING.
a NATIONAL M.P.'S COMPLAINT. COMMENT BY MR. SAVAGE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. "People who interrupt at public meetings are not helping us," declared the Prune Minister, the Rt. Hon. M J Savage, when Mr. S. G. Holland's complaint regarding disorder at opposition meetings was mentioned to him to-day. I "I was surprised to see Mr. Holland was complaining about the lack of police - assistance at his meetings," he said. "I i have been in public life for 31 years in > New Zealand and have never yet had • to appeal to Minister of the Crown ', > against people of this country. Whether I they have agreed with my "politics or ! not they have always been courteous ! I have tried to lead the way and the i people have always responded*.
