WOMAN ARRESTED ON MURDER CHARGE.
MAN STABBED. Outcome of Quarrel Over Ladder. FATHER OF EIGHT DIES. United Press Association. —Copyright. (Received 1 p.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. A woman was arrested on a murder charge yesterday following a fatal stabbing affray at Chelsea, 20 miles from Melbourne. police are informed that the tragedy was the result of a quarrel over the ownership of a small ladder which, it is alleged, the woman removed from the house of Henry Richard King, 30, during the week. King took the ladder back and on Saturday night an altercation took place and King was stabbed in the neck and died in hospital early yesterday from loss of blood. King is a brother of Alfred King, bookmaker, Sydney, and leaves a widow and eight children. Isabella Johanson, 53, was charged with murder.
