KAIPARA SEAT.
(From Our Correspondent.) WARKWORTH. Sunday. ■ A decision to contest the Kaipara scat as nn independent at the forthcoming general election was announced by Mr. Scott Davidson, of Taipulia. at a public meeting held at Maungaturoto on Saturday. Mr. Davidson, who is well known throughout the electorate, has been a member of the Otamatea County Council for six years and takes a keen interest in the progress of the district. He has had wide experience of local body administration in Great Britain.
