BIG SPORTS MEETING.

OTOROHANGA GALA. TWO-DAY PROGRAMME ARRANGED FOR EASTER. I The progressive Otorolianga Sports Club has arranged a most comprehensive programme for their nineteenth annual Easter carnival, for which they have provided £750 prize money. For the first time in the history of this body a two days' carnival will be held— on Saturday. April 10 and Easter Monday, April 18. Each day's programme will be separate and complete. The programme is calculated to draw competitors from many parts, including Australia. In former years Australian cyclists and axemen have been much in evidence and no doubt, with the generous increase in prize money, many more Australians will be temj>ted to cross the Tasman this year. The chopping, cycling, athletic and Highland dancing events are generously endowed with cash prizes. Banked tracks, specially graded, will l>e provided for cyclists and runners, while special platforms are being installed for the Highland dancing events. Nominations close for all events on April 8 at 4 p.m. with the manager-secretary, ilr. H. E. Lawrence, to whom all correspondence should be addressed. The programme is advertised in this issue.
