COMPENSATION FOR INJURY.

WELLINGTON, Monday.

An award of £100 was made by.the Court of Arbitration to-day to David Cameron. labourer. of Xgahauranga, who claimed from the Wellington Meat Export Company, Limited, for aii injury to the right hand received while stacking frozen beef into trucks through the hand being crushed against the side of the truck. ■ Medical evidence conflicted as to the advisability of amputating the little finger.

Mr. Justice O'P.egan said the Court had decided it was a case of hysteria., pure and simple, and commendable efforts had been made to settle the matter out of Court. ." T
