The Brooklyn branch will move that sub-section 8 of section 7 of the constitution be amended to more efficiently prevent any person with anti-Labour views aeting as a delegate to an L.R.C. or annual conference. Supported by seven organisations, a remit will be moved in an attempt to upset the ruling imposed by the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple. that Communists should not be allowed the use of halls in Public Works camps for furthering their popaganda. The remit reads: "That in the interests of free speech, the amending regulation governing t«ie use of halls in camps be revised." A remit critical of Labour Cabinet .Ministers comes from Devonport and asks "that prominent leaders of the Labour movement refrain from attacking trades unionists before they have obtained the fullest possible particulars of the workers' c*se."
