GENERAL ELECTION.
THE HAURAKI SEAT. LABOUR PARTY ACTIVITY. (From Our Own Correspondent.) HORRINSVILLE, Friday. A further stage in the organisation of the Labour Party in the Hauraki electorate, which now extends from Clevedon to Ngatea and Morrinsville, was the election of a new Labour representation committee at a meeting of delegates held this week. Officers were appointed as follows:—President, Mr. I. H. Grice (Morrinsville); vice-president, Mr. J. F. Mayn (Patetonga); secretary, Mr. A. S. Adam (Morrinsville); treasurer, Mr. R. Gamble (Morrinsville); trustees, Messrs. Grice and Adam. No meeting has yet been held to consider the selection of a Labour candidate for Hauraki, but it is considered that Mr. R, Coulter, the present member for Waikato, will have good claims for selection, as much of his old electorate is now in Hauraki. Mr. Coulter is Mayor of Te Aroha.
