RADIO LECTURES.
DISCONTINUANCE OF SESSION PROTEST BY LISTENERS. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Another petition of formidable size appeared in the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon. Presented by Mr. Lyon (Waiteinata), it carried 9056 signatures of persons who requested the Government to make provision fat continning weekly radio lectures which had been given through the instrumentality of the British-Israel Association from station IZM (Manurewa). These lectures, stated the petition, had been given over a period of four years, and they were based on the fundamental principles of holy Scripture, and had been appreciated by a crreat body of the listening public. When the station was purchased by the Government, further broadcasts of this nature were discontinued.
