NATIONAL CANDIDATE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMKKSTON X.. Thursday. As the result of a ballot held by members of the National party in the Palmcrstoii electorate. Mr. J. \. Nash secured a dear majority over the other two nominees, Mr. A. K. Mansford and Mr. M. H. Oram, and accordingly, subject to the approval of Dominion headquarters, will be the otlieial candidate to represent the National party at the next election. Mr. Nash was first elected to Parliament at a by-election in 1918. and held the seat continuously until 11W5, when he was defeated by Mr. ■!. Hodgens (Labour).
