Sharp words were exchanged across the floor of the House last night in a brief but bitter interlude in the debate on the Iron and Steel Industry Bill.
Mr. Poison (National, Stratford) described the measure as a form of retaliation against Britain to satisfy the pique of a Minister who had lo.<t badly in negotiations for a trade agreement with the Old Country.
Mr. Fraser (Minister of Education) Utter rubbish.
Mr. Poison: The Minister is a judge of rubbish.
Mr. Fraser: Yes, when I'm looking at you.
Mr. Speaker called the House to order and Mr. Fraser withdrew liis remark.
