CROSSING COLLISION. TRUCK ALMOST WRECKED. (By Telegraph. —Press Association-) PALMERSTOX XORTH. this day. A remarkable e-mpe was experienced bv Mr. <i. 11. Blanche, a well-borer, of Palmerston North, when driving a tmck at Rangiotu. In cros:>in<r the railway towards Glen Oroiia the vehicle was struck by *■ <roi>ds train proceed in cr t<l Koxton. Tic front of the truck was smashed. The vehicle fortunately slewed off the track, with Mr. Rlancbe still in the cab. The truck was dracrired a Ion? for o\er a chain before tile train st«pj»ed. Mr. Blanche emerged front the c.\tcn-i\dy damaged truck unscathed.
