EXECUTION DRAMA.
"Innocent" Son Dies With Guilty Father. REFUSAL OF REPRIEVE. NEW YORK, January 18. A bizarre case is that of a Boston candy maker, aged 55, and his son, aged 25, who were electrocuted for murder. The father insisted that his son did not participate in the crime, but he refused to sign an affidavit to that effect to obtain his son's reprieve, on the ground that he wanted to accompany him to death. The father said: "My son is innocent but I love him so much that I do- not want to leave him behind me. I will die happy." The son said he bore no resentment against his father and shook hands with him a few seconds before his death. The father said: "Good-bye, but I will see you again."
