GAS POISONING. Elderly Woman's Dca'h. Suicide by gas poisoninj wj; thp verdict returned this aftfrnoon by the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hum. S.M.. at an inquest touching the death c' A!;a Weed, an elderly woman, wiio was found dead in her room at an apartment hcuse in St. Paul's Street, City, on January 6. Evidence given by a feiio-.v lodqer indicated that deceased had br.en ,n low spirits because an income she had been receiving from Australia had ceased. RUNAWAY CAR. Plate-glass Window Shattered. A plate-glass wmdew was completely chaptered about 3 n.m. to-day when a large sedan car left a nosition a short, distance below the Y.W.C.A.. travelled about GC yards down Queen Street, and crashed through the window of premises occupied by Grei g and Es'.erman, 422, Queen Street. The car was unattended. There were no people in the vicinity at the time.
