RICHES IN GOLD.

A prospector, A. Chaney, abandoned his ground in August at Mount Cecelia, 12 miles south of Linden, West Australia. It was later taken up by W. G. Quinn, who, in December, crushed nine tons of ore at the Linden Stat:> battery for a yield of G2ooz of gold worth about £5300. The prospector never knows what the next stroke of the pick will produce.
