All afternoon tea was given recently at the J.C.L. rooms by Mrs. Frank Aston, of Pen ear row Avenue, for her sister. Mrs. Annie Down. M.A.. LL.B.. who is well known in Wellington as a speaker on law subjects affecting women. The party included several relatives* Misses Marie Aston. Marianne Down and Eleanor Krcnst roni (Palnierston North), and Messrs. F. Aston and J. Down.
