MARKETS OPEN FIRMLY. SYDNEY, January 5. Investors had not shaken off the holiday feeling when the Stock Exchange reopened to-day, with the resist that turnover was restricted and mainly confined to a few front-rank issues, the prices of which showed little variation, compared with last year. There was. however, a firm undertone, with the exception of Barriers, which were lower. Sales included:— £ g. d.
