ROAD WORK CONTRACTS.

HAMILTON, Wednesday,

Contracts valued at £140,000 have been let to Messrs. W. S. Goosnian and Company, Limited, Morrinsvillfe, for the reconstruction and tar-sealing of roads between Rotorua and Cambridge, between Cambridge and Te Awamutu, and between Whatawhata and Raglan. The work is either in progress or has been recently let. It is being carried out in elections.

Many deviations are involved in the reconstruction work, particularly between Cambridge and Te Awamutu, where numerous improved alignments are being made. Messrs. Goosman and Company, Limited, have sufficient work in hand •in the Waikato to occupy a large staff ior a year.
