HASTINGS, this day.

Three business premises in Heretaunga Street were entered last night,' but the intruders secured only a. small haul amounting to 1/6 in change and a few pocket knives. >

They ransacked Mr. F. L. Bones' ironmongery, but took nothing of value except the knives. The Bon Marche drapery store was also entered and the strongroom door forced. They used explosives on the safe, but were unsuccessful. The final entry was made at the State Theatre, where loose change was taken: from the office.
