RAN amok in hunt
(Received 12 noon.) LUCKXOW, January 4. •An elephant belonging to a party of hunters, led by Major-General Sir Douglas Baird, of the Indian Army, suddenly went mad and dashed his driver to the ground, then knocked flown the fleeing people, killing two. Sir Douglas saved the village from destruction by shooting the animal dead.
