"KNOCKED OUT."
FARR'S CHRISTMAS CARD.
SANTA CLAUS TO 400 WELSH CHILDREN. (Special.—By Air Mall.) LONDON, December 18. Friends of Tommy Farr will receive a Christmas card from the British boxing champion showing him in a knocked out position, with Father Christmas standing over him wearing boxing gloves. "Don't you feel like that after Christmas," asked Tommy.
Tommy Farr intends to play Santa Claus to the children in the Blaenclydach and the Cwmclydach schools, which he attended in boyhood. Farr has bought 400 Christmas presents, has himself made them up into parcels, and written for each recipient a personal note of Christmas greetings.
"I hope I shall not have to go to America before Christmas," he said this week, "because I want to give those toys to the children. It is a great happiness to me to be in a position to give them, and I only regret that I can't give Christmas toys to all the children in Tonypandy."
