BIG GAME FISHING.

FURTHER GOOD CATCHES. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) RUSSELL, this .lay. Another big black marlin was caught yesterday off Piercey Island. The angler was Mr. T. Brett, of Auckland. The fish weighed 6541b and was landed after a two-hours' struggle.

The sport so far has been the best in December in the history of the Bay of Islands. Mr. Hugh Wright, jun., who caught a striped marlin of 30Glb. and Mr. H. J. Ramsay, one of 2231b, were also in luck yesterday. Both men are also Aucklanders. A striped marlin of 2291b was seemed by Mr. C. Williams, of Hawkc's Bay. Three other fish were taken at Cavellier Islands.
