AWATEA HERE.

FINE CROSSING. AMONG THE PASSENGERS. The trans-Tasman express liner Awatea completed anpther fine Tasman crossing this afternoon when she berthed at Prince's wharf. Passengers came ashore about 2 o'clock. Among a large list of passengers were Messrs. A. R. Tuckett and G. S. Beavis, Australian racing motorists, holders of the midget car titles in Queensland and Victoria respectively.

Mr. George Gee is making his third visit to the Dominion, where he and his company of about 60 players will make a circuit of eight weeks.

Mr. L. O. Bennett has been spending a mojith in the Commonwealth. While conditions generally were very good, he noted the boot-manufacturing industry was labouring under hardships similar to those in New Zealand.
