LOWER DUTY ON N.Z. MEAT.
ALBERTA FARMERS PROTEST. (Received 9.30 a.m.) CALGARY, December 19. The All>erta Co-operative Council, the largest farm body in the province, is preparing a protest to Ottawa against the reduction of the duty on New Zealand and Australian mutton and lamb. The farmers allege they have been caused severe losses without warning.
