APPEAL FOR FUNDS.
DIOCESE OF POLYNESIA. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON", December 19. The Archbishop of York, the Bishop of London, Viscount Bledisloe. and ViceAdmiral fSwabey are appealing for financial aid for the diocese of Polynesia. They recall that the bishopric endowment fund, launched in 1930. aimed at £10,000, of which about one-third was forthcoming-. They added: "We are confident that if church people realised how comparatively small is the amount required to save the diocese from a serious financial crisis." the remainder would be speedily provided."
