City circles agree that, while there is nothing to cncourage the hope ot' a spectacular recovery. 1038 should see firm markets, with possibly a revival in the /spring. Holiday influences are ahead} apparent. In the commodity markets the volume of business is very small. Metals are disappointing. Tin has fallen sharply, while the encouraging November copper statistics have not affected prices. The rise in world refined stocks was only 31,000 tons. They actually fell if the United States is excluded.
