PILLION RIDER INJURED.

SMASH ON CUFF ROAD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUXEDIN, this day. A collision between a motor car and a motor cycle occurred on the DunedinBrighton Road yesterday afternoon. The car was driven by Mr. Stanley Charles Oillen and the cycle by Mr. Colin firav Cook. Mr. Mark Cook, the rider's brother, single, living at Caversliam, who was a passenger on the cycle, suffered a broken right femur and was admitted to the Dunedin Hospital »t 5 o'clock. The rider of the cycle escaped with abrasions to one leg.

No one in the car was hurt, but the passengers had a remarkable escape from serious injury as the driver, in an attempt to avoid the cycle, pulled up within an inch or two of a 100 ft cliff.
