CHRISTMAS PARTY.
FUNDS FOR MISSION. OVERSEAS LEAGUE ENTERTAIN. %, The club rooms of the Overseas League were attractively decorated on Saturday when a Christinas party was held, the proceeds of which will be given to the Dock Street Mission. The large lounge was crowded with members and friends, and a musical programme arranged by Mrs. .1. J. Sullivan was much appreciated. Mrs. F. Bauer presided and presented each lady performer with a shoulder spray. Those contributing to the programme included Madame Veta Cornwall, Mrs. Gladys Stormont, and Miss Kay Christie, who sang; Mr. T. Vivian, who gave a. reading from Dickens' Christmas Carol; Mesdames Pivvott. Holthouse. and Messrs. Middleton, Randall and Farrow, who contributed pianoaccordion items; and Misses P. Brigge and Eunice Chaplin who gave exhibition dances. Christmas carols were led by Mesdames Cornwall, Stormont and J. J. Sn 11 iv<tn. Following the musical programme, games, dances and competitions were aranged by Mrs. K. Parker, Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Foster and Miss Harty. From the Christmas tree, which decorated the library, gifts were distributed ! to the members by Mrs. Sherwood, assisted by Mrs. Angwin and Mr. Mayo. Supper was served by a committee comprising Mesdamcs McCrone, J. L. Melville. K. L. Barton. Skinner, and Misses F. File. R. File. Sutton, McClvmont. M. Cook, Willoughby and S. Nolan.
