LADY GUESTS AT ROTARY CLUB.
A Christmas Atmosphere At Successful Luncheon. Each year ilie wives of the members of the Rotary Club are entertained at a Christmas luncheon, and again to-day this function took place in the reception liall of Milne and Choyce, Limited. The ;vent is one that is always looked forward to most keenly by the ladies. The members are excellent hosts and everything is done to give the lady quests a happy time. Real Christmas decorations with bells and holly made the large hall most attractive and a pretty little thought was a posy of flowers placed on the table for each guest. The speaker at the luncheon was Mr. J. W. Shaw, M.A., who took for his subject. "This New Zealand." The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. J. F. Evren and the welcome to the ladies was extended by the president, Mr. Harold T. Thomas, who presided. Special mention was made to Mrs. Charles Rhodes and Lady Fowlds for services they had rendered to the club. At the official table were Mrs. H. T. Thomas, wife of the president, Mrs. Athol Wells, wife of the secretary, and Mrs. George J. Park, wife of the vicepresident.
