CUCKOO CLUB (St. Helier's) . A newsy letter from Captain Lois Eady, of the Cuckoos, brings the information that there are several new Cuckoo members, so we send a warm welcome to the following: Audrey Nicholls, Valerie Millar, June Strickett, Albert Strickett and Valerie. Mary Stitchbury sends 1 / for the fund, for which we thank her. All sorts of good wishes lo the Cuckoos. • • • • CORDIAN CLUB (Ellerslie) .—Myra Stubbing is the captain of this little new club at Ellerslie. Recently the members held a social evening in the Soldiers Hall and raised 7/, which they have sent in as an initial contribution to the Holiday Fund. A very warm welcome is sent to Myra and her members and a big thank you for the 7/. • • • • HAPPY GO LUCKY CLUB (Epsom).—Joan Geraghty, captain of the Happy Go Lucky Club, paid a surprise visit to Sunshine House last week and brought with her a splendid donation of 17/ for our Holiday Fund. This money was raised by penny guesses. Excellent work, Sunbeams. • • • • GOLDEN STARS (Avondale).— Captain Thelma Becroft, of the Golden Stars, sends the good news that the "Stars" are all working hard for the Holiday Campaign. Members have been busy collecting pennies, with the result that this week they have forwarded us a first contribution of 7/. This sum was made up ns follows: 3/8 from Phyllis Hayward, I '6 from Betty Pearse, 3d from Patty Little and 1/7 from the captain. Our very best thanks to the "Stars."
CINDERELLA CLUB (Avondale).— The Cinderella folk Have been busy selling bottles and in this way raised 8/4. This sum they have sent us this week, together with 1/8 from various Cinderella members. "Peter and Eileen, of the Great Barrier Island, also sent us a contribution of 5,6 for the Holiday Fund, with the request that we credit it to the Cinderella Club. Very many thanks to all these folk. • • • • JOEYS CLUB (Auckland). — The Joeys will be very grateful to "Shirley at Kaikoha for sending her half-crown contribution to the fund in their name; also to an anonymous friend who lives at Evans Street, Takapuna, for 1/. Then just as the Budget was going to press, along came Rex Pilkington, of Paparimu, with 5/, which he hnd made by selling bottles, newspapers, etc., and wished credited to the Joeys-. Our best thanks to the3e readers. • • • • TWELVE SMART GIRLS (Remuera). Our best thanks to the Twelve Smart Girls for a contribution of 8/6 to the Holiday Fund. This sum the girls thought they would like to give toward helping to bring to Auckland the little boy, who, at the moment of writing, is still unable to take advantage of his wonderful in vita? ion. Our best thanks to Captain Alison and her "Smart Girls."
