TRAMCAR ON FIRE.

Little damage was done when fire broke out on a citv-hound traincar from Mount Eden shortly after eight o'clock last night at the intersection of Symonds Street and Karangahape Road. Two engines from the Central fire station answered the call given by a tramways inspector, but the fire was put out with hand extinguishers when it had done nothing mora than char the floor boards. V Traffic was scarcely delayed at all, the passengers being transferred to another vehicle, and the damaged tram proceeded to the depot under its own power.
