INCREASED ALLOCATION. MUSEUM AND ART GALLERY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON 1 ", Thursday. A meeting of delegates from all local bodies in the Wellington Province, called til consider the unsatisfactory finances of the National Art Gallery ami Museum trustees, flt which the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. >L Savage, presided, was held to-day. A proposal that the local bodies should make contributions to the revenue of the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum and carillon was agreed to, and an allocation estimated to produce £4075 from the local bodies in and around Wellington was approved, on the understanding that the Government increased it* contribution bv CI (KIO. 'Hie estimated annual budget showed a deficit of £5500.
