DOMESTIC TROUBLE.
HUSBAND SENT TO GAOL.
Arrested last night on his wife'& complaint to the Parnell police that he had assaulted her, Ce> William Hutchison appeared before -Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., to-day, when, in addition to the assault charge, he was a party to an application by the wife for separation and maintenance. The wife stated that having come home to her somewhat under the influence of liquor, Hutchison threw a plate of stew in her face and struck her when they had words about why neighbour had called her outside to give her a messacre. *
Constable Farrell testified to having been called to the house on 6everal occsCrdons. when he judged th.-t the trouble had been caused ) 7 accused having been drinking. ~
Hutchison attributed the domestic iinnappineflß to the wife keeping the money. He was prohibited and sentenced to 14 days hard labour, and a separation order was granted providing 30/ a week maintenance for the wife.
