IN SELF-DEFENCE.
SYDNEY STREET SLAYING. SYDNEY, December 10. At the Criminal Court to-day Richard Gabriel Reilly was acquitted of the murder of Clarence Tlionia*, whom he shot dead in Castlerea.'ih Street on the afternoon of November 18 in the presence of crowds of people. . The evidence disclosed that Reilly shot Thomas in self-defence a:ter Thomas had attacked his brother. Thomas liad been a notorious gangster. Reilly was discharged.
