STRATHAIRD ARRIVED.

AWATEA DUE ON MONDAY. UMPIRE STAR TO LOAD. XAUMBKKG FROM WHY ALL A. The P. .mid O. liner Strathaird arrived from Brisbane shortly before 11 o'clock this morning and berthed at the western side of the Prince's wharf, She has on board 68;~> tourists, including a number who had booked through to Auckland from London. The ship lias a tonnage of 22,284, and is a conspicuous, object at her berth, even in the present crowded state of the waterfront. She sails for Sydney, via Wellington, at 11 p.m. to-morrow. The L'nion Company's express passenger steamer Awatea leaves Sydney for Auckland at 8 p.m. to-dav. She will arrive here oil Monday, berthing at 1 p.m., and leaves on her return to Sydney at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Star Line motor ship Empire Star, 11,093 tons (Captain Capon), arrived at 5 a.m. to-day from New Plymouth to continue loading for London. She dropped t.nchor in the stream on arrival, but will berth tliir» afternoon after the departure of the Gera. The HamburgAmerica steamer Naumberg arrived this afternoon from Whyalla, South Australia, with a part cargo of iron ore. She loads wool here and at main -Dominion ports for America and the Continent.

Napier Star left for Xapier and Wei lington last night to complete her loading for London. (8.5.L.)

Gera left for Wellington at 12.30 p.m. to-day to continue the discharge of cargo from Xew Orleans. (H. and M.)

Canopus arrived, from Westport early this afternoon and berthed at Western wharf to discharge coal. (W.C. Co.)
