VAGABONDS IN PARK.

COMPLAINTS AT HAMILTON.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)

HAMILTON", Thursday.

A complaint that Seddon Park had been frequented lately by vagabonds and methylated spirits addicts was made by Senior Sergeant Lambert in the Police Court to-day when Herbert Francis Morris, 46, a labourer, was charged with vagrancy. He was sentenced to six weeks' hard labour.

The police said accused, who had 10 previous convictions, was found in the park intoxicated, with a bottle of methylated spirits beside him. He had no work and no money. Constables had been placed oil special duty to clean up the park before Christmas.
