CHRISTMAS BONUS OF ONE POUND.
Unemployed Women And Girls To Benefit. i The Government has decided to pay a Christmas bonus of £1 to all registered unemployed women and girls of 16 years of age and over who are registered under the various women's employment committees and are eligible for assistance in respect of the week ending December 4, 1837. The following sets out details as to eligibility for the bonus:— (a) All women and girls -who are registered and are eligible for assistance in the week ending December 4 are entitled to receive tha bonus. The bonus is still paya>ble although the recipient may not continue to receive assistance after the week ending December 4. (b) Any person who registers and becomes eligible for assistance for the first time after the week ending December 4 is not to receive the bonus. (c) Any person who re-registers and is eligible for assistance in any of the weeks ending December 11, 18 and 25 is eligible to receive the bonue, provided she had actually been registered and eligible for assistance at any time within a period of three months of December 4, 1937 (viz., between Sep'tember 5 and December 4, 1937).
