NEW LINER'S FUNNELS.

ALUMINIUM ALLOY TO BE USED British Official Wireless. RUGBY, December 9. As the result of prolonged tests it has been decided to construct aluminium alloy funnels fbr the Cunard-White Star liner Mauretania, of 3Q.000 tons, now being constructed at Birkenhead. The vessel will be the first of her size in the world to have aluminium funnels. The alloy will save weight, and its non-corrosive properties also have been I taken into account.
